The commune is located near Surgères, Rochefort, and Saint-Jean-d'Angély.

History

An old viticultural commune, Chervettes is marked by an old viticultural properties with a closed heart. Since the outbreak of phylloxera at the end of the 19th century, the commune subsisted three small areas of winery. The church known as Notre-Dame-de-l’Assumption was first constructed in the 15th century. Around the commune, Chiron features an 18th-century built mill.

Tourism

Its touristic activity are mainly restrained, notably on the important development project over the user of the old motorcycle and the collection called Surbier 2, the public aura of possibilities ensembles the rare pieces of the Italian origin. The Chinese moto are all placed in merit with the special room that prevents humidity. The particularity of the project makes up of possible use for the terrain specially with the upgraded adapted technology. One of them was introduced in 2007.
