Class is an upcoming science fiction drama series, a spin-off from Doctor Who. It will consist of eight episodes, and is set to premiere on BBC Three in 2016.[1]

Class will run for eight 45 minute episodes. The episodes will be written by Patrick Ness.[1]

Production

Development

On 1 October 2015, it was announced that a spinoff series from Doctor Who titled Class will be filmed in 2016 and broadcast later that year on BBC Three.[1] Steven Moffat will executive produce the series.[2]

Casting

Peter Capaldi, who plays the twelfth and current incarnation of the Doctor is in negotations to appear in the series.[2]

Filming

Class will begin filming in April 2016.[2]

Broadcast

On 8 January 2016 the series was picked up by BBC America.[3]
