The Consulate General of the United States in Ho Chi Minh City is located at 4 Le Duan Boulevard in District 1. It provides consular services, and it deals with diplomatic affairs in Ho Chi Minh City and the rest of southern Vietnam. Like many foreign diplomatic buildings in the world, the consulate general facility has tight security.
The consulate general building stands adjacent to the site of the former U.S. embassy in Saigon, which was demolished in 1998.[2]
The current United States Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City is Ms. Mary Tarnowka.
