Don Bosco Higher Secondary School in Irinjalakuda, in the Kerala state of India, began in March 1962 on the invitation of the late Bishop of Thrissur, George Alappatt. A high school, a lower primary school and a boarding were started. It began as an English-medium and a Malayalam-medium school and the Government sanctioned the Don Bosco High School as an unaided but recognised school on May 6, 1962. The Malayalam-medium section was discontinued later. A boarding section too was started on January 2, 1963, which was closed later on. In 1987, a spacious indoor stadium was built to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of the Institution.
