'4MyCiTy Inc. is a nonprofit organization in the United States that promotes environmental sustainability. They focus on reducing organic waste and its harmful effects on the environment, while also improving food security for families in the community. The organization has a trademark approved for the name '4MYCITY'. Their program, focused on the Sustainable Management of Food, aims to reduce food waste and its negative impact on the environment, while also improving food insecurity for the families they serve. So far, 4MyCiTy Inc. has distributed over 225 million pounds of food to hungry families, which amounts to approximately 187 million meals. During the Covid-19 pandemic from May 2020 to June 2021, 4MyCiTy Inc. provided food donations in multiple states including MD, VA, DC, NY, NJ, NC, SC, OH, PA, DE, MA, GA, KY, MI, RI, WV, and FL.
History and leadership
[edit]Christopher Dipnarine is the founder of 4MyCiTy Inc., having launched it on October 29th 2018 and receiving its non profit status on August 30, 2019, in Baltimore, Maryland. Christopher Dipnarine, currently holds the Role of Executive Director on the Board of Directors for the nonprofit. 4MyCiTy does not have a CEO role, the organization is run utilizing six key employee positions, youth workers and volunteers. All members of the Board of Directors are volunteers2, and their headquarters and primary focus area is in the state of Maryland with a focus on Baltimore City. They also operate on a needs basis in DC, VA, PA, NJ, NY and FL
