Research

[edit]

Alaric Naudé is a linguist fluent in multiple languages, including English, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese. He mainly studies the cultures and languages of East Asia, including China, Korea, and Japan, and is also working on the Jeju language, a member of the Koreanic languages, which is listed as a Endangered language by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.[3][8]

He holds active memberships with The Heterodox Academy (USA), Cognitive Linguistics Association (Netherlands), Global Listening Centre (UK and USA), National Research Foundation of Korea, and Japan Association for Nursing English Teaching.[3] He also serves as president of the City University of Paris (France).[2][9][10]

He is active in a variety of fields and is actively engaged in research and activities that transcend the languages and cultures of East and West.

Academic Censorship

[edit]

In 2022, Naude published a peer-reviewed analysis on the "Prostasia Foundation" and "B4U-ACT" in the British Journal of Philosophy Sociology and History which stated that the organisation was actively protecting pedophiles and undermining child protection. In response Prostasia Foundation pressured the journal to remove the research causing media backlash for academic censorship which was covered by "Reduxx Magazine"[11] and "The Post Millenial"[12]. The story was also noted by Spanish and Portuguese news and academic associations such as International Council of Psychoanalysis [Conselho Internacional de Psicanálise][13] Later, the incident was mentioned by well-known Youtubers such as Sydney Watson.[14] The paper was republished in "The Public Insight" in July of 2022.[15]

Episode

[edit]

In 2024, when Naudé heard about the game "Assassin's Creed Shadows" and Yasuke, he thought it was just a "video game with poorly researched characters," but he was interested in the discussion and investigated the situation, which led him to the work of Thomas Lockley. Disappointed by the poor understanding of Asian culture among Westerners and the terrible portrayal of Asia in the game "Assassin's Creed Shadows," he decided to take action to rectify the situation. Initially, he was planning to create web articles, but decided to write a book as a more effective method. The production budget was 0 yen because there was already a large amount of materials from Japan's Sengoku and Muromachi periods. And in fact, the book was written for 0 yen.[16][17]
