Mohammad Iqbal Khan (Urdu:محمد اقبال خان; born 7 March,1973)[1] better known as Anjum Lucknowi (Hindi:अंजुम लखनवी; Urdu:انجم لکھنوی),[2][3][4] is an Indian Urdu and Hindi poet.[5] He is known for his revolutionary poetry.[6][7] He has also been honored with Dr. Allama Iqbal Award in 2017 Sultanpur of Uttar Pradesh.[8]
Early life and education
[edit]Anjum was born on 07 March 1973, in Barabanki to Mohammad Haleem Khan (farmer), and his wife Sugra Khatoon. He was their first child. Anjum Lucknowi did his schooling completed from "Madarsa Alia Furqania" in Tehsil Fatehpur.[2][7][9] He moved to mumbai with his elder father in 1987 and after coming to mumbai he obtained his initial education Diploma in Unani Medicine Science after which he started a Unani medicine & Food manufacturing company named Parbat Herbal in 2020.[10][1] of which it is its own founder
Performances
[edit]He recited his first Performance Mushaira (Urdu: مشاعرہ; Romanized: Mušā'ira) in 1989 with his teacher Aish Kanwal in Quraish Nagar, Kurla Mumbai. The observation was presided over by Bollywood music director Ravindra Jain, and Nawab Malik (Corporator) from Quresh Nagar was the special guest of this mushaira.[7] Anjum Lucknowi was also invited to Nashik on the occasion of All India Mushaira for national unity.[11] Similarly, he invited in the Mushaira on the occasion of MLA Varsha Gaikwad birthday in the year 2013.[12] Since then he participated in many Mushairas and Kavi Sammelan continued achieving success.[12][8]
