Biography
[edit]Early and personal life
[edit]Samuel was born on April 18, 1995, in Nigeria, where he spent his formative years before relocating to the UK with his family at the age of 12. His musical journey commenced at the age of 7 when his father gifted him a piano[2]. He began honing his skills by playing the piano at his local church, and started composing music in his bedroom shortly after.[3] Eventually, Samuel made the decision to pursue a solo music career, marking the birth of 'CalledOut Music' on his 21st birthday in 2016 with the release of his debut single, 'Working On Me.' The name 'CalledOut' was chosen with the intention of inspiring individuals to recognize their calling for service to God.[4] He is signed to an independent record label called HFP Music. [2] [4]
Samuel holds a degree in B.Sc Accounting & Finance from the University of Kent.[5]
He married his long-term girlfriend on 15th April 2024.[6]
Musical career
[edit]Since his debut, CalledOutMusic has released several albums and EPs, including 'In Due Time (Genesis),' 'Portraits,' 'My Beautiful Reality,' and 'RADICAL' garnering over 50,000,000 streams on Spotify[7]. He has collaborated with other global artists, including Samm Henshaw[8], Guvna B, Ric Hassani, Pompi, Limoblaze, Becca Folkes, and Triple O.
Tours
[edit]Following his first headline concert in London on Nov. 10th 2018[9] CalledOutMusic has expanded his reach through headline concerts and tours across Africa (including Nigeria, South Africa, and Kenya), as well as Europe(covering cities like Ireland, Paris, Berlin and Hamburg), North America (encompassing the United States[10] with Joe Mettle[11] and Canada). His second world tour ended in March 2023 in London.[12] [13] The event was dubbed "a night to remember."[14]
Podcast
[edit]In May 2022, CalledOut Music launched the 'Triibe Podcast (#WeTheTriibe)' as a platform for engaging with his fans and supporters.
