RDB Consulting is an IT company and managed database administration services provider based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The company is owned by management and staff and employs 26 people in its offices in Rivonia, Sandton.
RDB Consulting is a level 2 BEE contributor.
History and operations[edit]
RDB Consulting was established in 1995 as a relational database consulting business by Jaroslav Cerny, an IT professional with extensive Oracle database expertise and a B.Sc. degree from Belgrade University.
Database outsourcing services were started in 1999, with Linux and UNIX support added in 2004.
Cerny was appointed as the CEO in 1999.[1]
Services and clients[edit]
RDB Consulting provides database administration, cloud migration and maintenance, and disaster recovery services to businesses that require database outsourcing but do not need an in-house specialist.[2]
It is an authorized partner for Oracle and Microsoft, and is ISO/IEC 20000 compliant - certified by the South Africab Bureau of Standards.
Markets and clients[edit]
RDB Consulting serves clinets in South Africa, Kenya, Mozambique and Serbia.[3]
Notable clients include Metropolitan Heath Group, Barloworld Equipment, Fadata, BankservAfrica, and Harmony Gold.
