Randy Glein (born May 19, 1965) is an American businessman and venture capitalist.[1] He is a co-founder and partner of DFJ Growth. Forbes has named Glein to its annual Midas List of top tech investors six times over the past decade. In 2024 he was #14 on the Forbes Midas List.[2]
Education and early career
[edit]Glein earned an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, an MS degree in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California, and a BS degree in Electrical Engineering with high honors from the University of Florida.[1] Glein was awarded the University of Florida Gator Engineering Innovation Award in 2013 and is a co-founder of the Gator Innovation Fellows program.[3]
Early in his career, Glein was an entrepreneur and operating executive. He served as CFO of FeedBurner, as an executive at DirecTV during its early growth and startup, and as a satellite communications engineer at Hughes Electronics, Space and Communication Division.[4]
