Stumble Guys is a 2020 battle royale game, developed by Finnish studio Kitka Games and Scopely.

The game involves platforming with battle royale elements. The game resembles the similar battle royale game Fall Guys. It had more than 20 million daily players in 2022.[1]

Development

Kitka, a Finnish video game company, originally developed and published Stumble Guys. On September 8, 2022, Scopely acquired the game for an undisclosed sum.[1]

Release

On January 23, 2024, the game was released for Xbox Series X as well as Xbox One.[2][3]

On April 10, 2024, an open beta for the game was announced for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.[4] A full release was confirmed on August 21, 2023.[5] It was released on May 14, 2024.[6]

Reception

On October 20, 2022, it was reported that Stumble Guys was generating almost a half-a-million US dollars in revenue per day.[7]

At the 2021 Finnish Game awards, Kitka Games was awarded newcomer of the year.[8]

The Italian video game website Multiplayer.it gave it a 7 out of 10, praising the gameplay, but criticizing it as being derivative of Fall Guys.[9]

A review of the Xbox Series X version by the website The Xbox Hub gave the game a 4 out of 5, praising the gameplay and character customization, but criticizing server problems.[10]

The website PCGamesN listed it as one of five games recommended for Fall Guys fans.[11]
