  • Comment: In regards to demonstrating notability, Holby.tv, BBC, and LAMBDA are not independent of the subject, as he is an actor in the show Holby for the network BBC and went to the school LAMBDA. Irish Independent, The Guardian, and Radio Times do not contain significant coverage of the topic. I see no mention of the subject in the Belfast Telegraph. Pbrks (talk) 04:13, 25 May 2021 (UTC)

Trieve Blackwood-Cambridge (born 3 February 1995) is a British actor. He is known for his roles as Jeremiah in the comedy-drama Enterprice (2018–2020)[1] and Josh Hudson in the medical soap Holby City (2020–), both on BBC One.[2][3][4]

Early life[edit]

Trieve Blackwood-Cambridge was born in 1995 and grew up in Harrow, London. He made his first TV appearance at age ten. In 2013, at age 18, Blackwood-Cambridge gained a place at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). He graduated with a BA (Hons) degree in Professional Acting from LAMDA in 2016.[5]

Career[edit]

After graduating from LAMDA, Blackwood-Cambridge featured in various London theatre productions such as Escape the Scaffold at Theatre503.[6][7]

In 2018 Blackwood-Cambridge first appeared as Jeremiah - the co-lead in Enterprice (UK TV series), a British comedy-drama written by Kayode Ewumi. As the other co-lead, Ewumi played the role of Kazim.

Blackwood-Cambridge reprised the role of Jeremiah alongside Ewumi in season two of Enterprice in 2020.

Also in 2020, Blackwood-Cambridge appeared in the BBC Three drama Make Me Famous,[8] created and written by Reggie Yates. Later that year, Blackwood-Cambridge made his first appearance as Josh Hudson in the BBC medical drama Holby City.

Blackwood-Cambridge’s character in Holby City was involved in some major storylines, including the topic of bulimia nervosa in men. Blackwood-Cambridge’s portrayal of a young man suffering from bulimia received widespread coverage and praise.[9] [10][11]

In November 2021, four months before the final episode of Holby City was broadcast, Blackwood-Cambridge appeared on the Lorraine show on ITV. The host, Lorraine Kelly told him that she was “not happy at all” that the show had been cancelled as she was a fan. Blackwood-Cambridge told Lorraine that the fans were "in for a treat" in the show’s final episodes, and that it had been a huge honour for him to be part of Holby City.[12]

Between June and July of 2023, Blackwood-Cambridge appeared in the theatre production AGATHA at London's Theatre503,[13] and in September he took on the role of Tony in the 30th anniversary production of Jonathan Harvey’s Beautiful Thing. The production opened at the Theatre Royal Stratford East, before moving to the Leeds Playhouse in October, and HOME Manchester in November 2023.[14]

In 2024, Blackwood-Cambridge could be seen in the six-episode TV mini series Rematch, a psychological thriller that follows the story of world chess champion Garry Kasparov as he took on the IBM supercomputer Deep Blue in 1997.[15] Rematch will be shown by Arte in France, Disney+ in the UK, and HBO Europe in other territories.[16]
