Sources[edit]

@KittyKinkle02: I am a editor from Chinese Wikipedia who focus on eroge, I find this draft recently and noted that you suffer from lack of secondary sources. This is a common problem when someone want to write an article about eroge, because Japanese-lang based magazine and book are the main secondary sources medium for most of the eroge and online source is rare. I have the following sources which show significant coverage about the game:

Print sources
Online sources

The next question is, can you read something that wrote in Japanese? If you don't have the ability to read Japanese-based articles, I may edit and expend this draft at some point in future. --So47009 (talk) 14:16, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,
Thank you for the sources you have provided, as before I hadn’t been able to find any.
I can’t read Japanese, and I’m not sure how much mileage I’d be able to get out of an online translator. But I’ll give it a go anyway. KittyKinkle02 (talk) 10:53, 13 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The Development and release section is almost finished, you can check the grammar for this section if you want to. The next step is writing the plot completely. On English Wikipedia, we always expected the plot of any subjects related to fiction should be complete (MOS:PLOT). MOS:VG is also helpful for you to write this section. Since I have never played this game, I don't have the ability to write the plot. So47009 (talk) 03:33, 19 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I added a section for the plot/story of the game. I did each of the characters' routes separately. The game doesn't contain that much when it comes to story though, I'll try and find more details soon. Do I need to add anything else like a character section? KittyKinkle02 (talk) 21:50, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
On the Chinese Wikipedia, we have a special rule for the Bishōjo games that we can list out the main characters within the articles, since they focus on the characters. But on the English Wikipedia, the rule is "[...]it is instead more appropriate to reduce the list to one to three paragraphs of prose within the "Plot" or "Synopsis" section of the game or series article." (WP:VGSCOPE) You can look at some examples just likes Rewrite (video game) and Air (video game). If the plot is too short for writing anything or you don't have any idea for writing the story, you can look at Imouto Paradise 2 or Kanojo × Kanojo × Kanojo. For any VN that have multiple endings, my practice is write the common route first, and than use the following sentences: "Subsequent plots will change with player options." After that, summarize each routes likes "In the XXX route[...]In the YYY route[...]." Another way for writing the plot is extract common points in each route likes "After the battles with opposing forces, Dosukebe Ordinance is repealed." (plot of NukiTashi)
One more thing I want to say is about Fuwanovel, is it just a blog? As WP:SPS and Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Sources#Fansites pointed out, they are "largely not acceptable as sources." It is important to note that most of the eroge don't have much reviews that fit with the WP:RS standard due to its nature and market size. For the review articles of Japan-exclusive eroge, you can find them on:
  • Media Clips : most of the staff have work experience in eroge magazines. According to WP:SPS, "Self-published expert sources may be considered reliable when produced by an established subject-matter expert, whose work in the relevant field has previously been published by reliable, independent publications.". But they don't review this game.
  • Moe Games Award : An award for bishōjo games which was selected by industry insider until changed to a more democratic approach on Moe Games Award 2021. They also don't award this game.
  • BugBug's review. BugBug vol.284 had a review for this game. So47009 (talk) 06:00, 31 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Found two sources that review the game that also seem to not be blogs.
The first (in Indonesian)is by a group called “HERO soft” who seem to have experience with translating other visual novels (eroge in particular, they are on vndb at https://vndb.org/p6044).
The second (in Vietnamese) mentions the game in less detail the first. “Hoshi Visual Novel” also seem quite well known (at least 6000 results on Google) in Vietnam.
Do these sources meet the guidelines? KittyKinkle02 (talk) 02:07, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It seem a great improvement for this version, but if you want to write the story and characters like this, please separate the story development from the character introduction, because it may seem smoother when you just writing the beginning of the story with Introducing the character. I believe something like this would be better: "The story begins with Seiji and his sister, called Sasaura Suzuna (笹浦 すずな), are on a train on the way to Tsugumomi. She presented as having a close, lovey-dovey relationship with her brother."
First, just focus on how the characters introduce, their relationship and personality, ignore story development. After the introduction of the characters, you can focus on story development. So47009 (talk) 11:35, 31 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I made two sections: one for their personalities and initial interactions, and then one for their character progression. Are there any important parts left to add? KittyKinkle02 (talk) 16:55, 31 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
There’s also an unofficial Chinese language patch for the game. I don’t know if that’s the kind of thing that should be put in a Wikipedia article.

For the first question, since I never play it , I don't know if there are some point missing.
For the next question, We don't mention unoffical translation unless it become the focus point of reliable sources. So47009 (talk) 01:07, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
All the sources appear to have turned into LUA error messages. KittyKinkle02 (talk) 13:06, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If the draft gets accepted for submission to Wikipedia Mainspace, I'll upload images of the cover art (for the infobox) and a screenshot of the game. I can't do this yet though because "fair-use" uploads require a valid Mainspace article to be listed. KittyKinkle02 (talk) 14:22, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
When we considered whether someone is expert or not, we always need to find out has he or she published article in other RS. For example, if someone who is a journalist that working for ANN, his or her article on the blog that related to anime or manga is considered reliable. So47009 (talk) 11:41, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
