Dream Catcher (Template:Lang-ko), formely known as Minx (Template:Lang-ko, often stylized as MINX), is a South Korean girl group created by Happy Face Entertainment in 2014 and is the sister group of Dal Shabet.[1] As Minx, the group was described as having an overall mischievous tomboy concept and consisted of five members: JiU, Sua, Siyeon, Yoohyeon, and Dami. They released their debut single "Why Did You Come to My Home" on September 18, 2014.[2] On November 29, 2016, the group's agency revealed that Minx will re-debut under the name Dream Catcher with two new members in 2017. On December 1, the first new member Handong was revealed. On December 4, the second new member Gahyeon was revealed.

Career

2014: Debut with Why Did You Come To My Home

Minx held their first live performance at the Oak Valley Summertime Festival on August 9, 2014, where they performed two original songs: "Action" and "Why Did You Come To My Home".[3][4] On September 15, Happy Face Entertainment announced their new girl group.[2] Minx released their debut digital single "Why Did You Come To My Home" on September 18. The song was described as a "new take on the children's rhyme" of the same name.[5] Minx made their official debuted on M Countdown on September 18 and promotions for their debut ended October 26 with a final performance on Inkigayo.[6][7]

On December 22, Happy Face Entertainment released a video cover of the Christmas classic "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" featuring Minx and Dal Shabet.[8]

2015: Love Shake

In July 2015, Minx released their first extended play, titled Love Shake with the same name for the lead single. The single was promoted as a "joyous song" that "goes well with summer", and is a remake of the song "Love Shake" from Dal Shabet's Bang Bang album. .[9][10]On the same day, Minx held a press showcase at Ellui, a club in Seoul.[11]They performed their first comeback stage on The Show on June 30 and Show Champion on July 1.

2016-present: Re-debut as Dream Catcher

In November 2016, after a one-year hiatus, the group's agency Happy Face Entertainment revealed that Minx will re-debut under the name Dream Catcher with two new members in 2017. On November 30, the first teaser images of member JiU and the group logo was released.[12] On December 1, the teaser images of new member Handong was released.
