Etta Cameron (November 21, 1939, Nassau, Bahamas - March 4, 2010, Aarhus, Denmark), actual name Ettamae Louvita Coakley was a Bahamian-Danish singer.[1] She especially sang jazz and gospel, and put her marks in the Danish music culture through her entire career since she arrived to Denmark in the 1970's. She was made a Knight of Dannebrog in 1997.

Etta Cameron is also well-known as one of the judges in the first two seasons of Scenen er din, the Danish version of the American TV show Star Search.

She came to Denmark from DDR, were she was stranded for five years in East Berlin, where after a performance committment she had lost her passport.

Etta died on March 4, 2010 after a long illness.[1] She had two children, Debbie and Steve. Debbie Cameron is following her mother's footsteps and is going for a singing career.
