Girish Chandra Murmu (born 21 November 1959) is a 1985 batch Indian Administrative Service officer of Gujarat cadre and was principal secretary to Narendra Modi during his tenure as CM of Gujarat.[1] He is Additional secretary in Department of Financial Services in Ministry of Finance at present.[2] Murmu is considered a close confidant of Narendra Modi and thus held key administrative positions in Gujarat.
