GTV (formerly known as Global TV) is an Indonesian free-to-air television channel. It was launched on 1 January 1998. The station airs reality and game shows, along with Nickelodeon cartoons making up its programming schedule. It is owned by Media Nusantara Citra (MNC), which also owns RCTI and MNCTV.

Since November 2017 after the rebranding, GTV has ditched its sports programming and replaced them with reality and game shows.

History

The station began airing on 1 June 2002, originally only broadcasting MTV Indonesia programs such as MTV Most Wanted, MTV Land, and MTV Ampuh. After four years as an MTV broadcaster, on 15 January 2005, Global TV began producing its own television programmes for its 12-hour broadcast. On 1 January 2005, it expanded its coverage area to 18 cities in Indonesia.

On 11 October 2017, Global TV was rebranded as GTV for its 15th anniversary.
