Gandarvakottai taluk is a taluk of Pudukkottai district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The headquarters of the taluk is the town of Gandarvakottai.

Demographics

According to the 2011 census, the taluk of Gandarvakottai had a population of 89,926 with 45,147 males and 44,779 females. There were 992 women for every 1000 men. The taluk had a literacy rate of 63.1. Child population in the age group below 6 was 4,929 males and 4,802 females.[1]
