The Gen. William Worth Belknap House in Keokuk, Iowa, United States was built in 1854. The Greek Revival style house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.[1] William Worth Belknap moved to Keokuk from upstate New York in the 1853. He was elected to the Iowa House of Representatives in 1857. He was involved in several battles during the American Civil War and was brevetted a Major General. He served as Secretary of War under President Ulysses S. Grant.[2]
