Guadalupe

Guadalupe, or Guadeloupe (Spanish pronunciation: [ɡwaðaˈlupe]) was originally a Spanish toponym that derives from the Persian word for trench, graben or gully (Guadal گدار Guadar گودال) and the Latin word lupus, meaning wolf. The name referred to the river Guadalupe in Spain.
