Helmut Markwort
Helmut Markwort (born 8 December 1936 in Darmstadt) is a German journalist and from 1993 till 2010 Editor-in-Chief of the weekly newsmagazine Focus. He is a member of the liberal Free Democratic Party of Germany.[1] From a former marriage Markwort has a son. Since 1996 he is in a relationship with Patricia Riekel (born 1949).
He has also contributed to the conservative newspaper Junge Freiheit. [citation needed]
