The Heritage Xperiential Learning School, is a group of independent co-educational experiential learning schools based in the Indian district of Gurgaon in the state of Haryana. The school is affiliated with curriculums from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and the International Baccalaureate’s Diploma Program (IBDP).[1][2][3]

Raahgiri Days

The program originated in the school when 6 Grade students worked on a project to make Gurugram a cycle-friendly city. The project later evolved into advocacy for non-motorized days, and in collaboration with local civil society organizations, came to be celebrated as Raahgiri Day. The days are now held in 11 cities in India and the movement continues to gain momentum.[4][5][6]

The Muskan Project

The Heritage Xperiential Learning School has also been working with the Haryana State Government to improve the quality of education in the state. Under the pilot project of Muskan, it adopted a government primary school where it shares practices in learning, innovative ideas and creativity with the school.[7]
