"It's Not True"
Song

It's Not True is a song written by Pete Townshend and recorded by The Who for their debut album My Generation. It was recorded at IBC Studios on November 1965. In 1965, Pete Townshend said about it: "This is everyone else's favourite track. I hate it. Yes, I'm thinking of giving this one to a country and western group, actually. They're called the New Faces." [1]

The song was covered by several bands among them Larry's Rebels, The Users (band), Magic Christian, The Ragamuffins of Love and The Storks.
