Jesús Alberto Dueñas Manzo (March 16, 1989) is a Mexican professional footballer who plays for Liga MX club Tigres UANL and the Mexico national team.[1]

Dueñas is a box-to-box midfielder who is equally adept at halting advances from opposing players as he is creating opportunities by distributing the ball or shooting on goal. He is usually deployed as a central midfielder but he is currently playing as a right-back in Tigres and in the Mexican national team. He can also play as winger.

Club career

Jesus Dueñas was from Petroleros de Salamanca but later moved to Tigres UANL, the team with which he debuted.[2] Since 2014, Dueñas has become the starting central midfielder of Tigres. He played a key role in the Copa Libertadores 2015.

International career

In March 2015, Dueñas was called up to the Mexico national team by Miguel Herrera to compete in friendly matches against Ecuador and Paraguay. Dueñas played as starter in the 3-1 victory over Jamaica of the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup finals at the Lincoln Financial Field of Philadelphia on July 26, 2015.
