John Smiley Dixon "Dixie" Gilmore OBE (died 29 May 1997) was Lord Mayor of Belfast from 1987–1988, having previously been Deputy Lord Mayor of Belfast. He was made an officer of the Order of the British Empire in 1989.
Gilmore was a member of the Ulster Unionist Party and had formerly served in the British Army in Malaysia where he met his wife Esme. He was a member of Belfast City Council from 1973–77 and then was Alderman for Laganbank from 1985–1993.
Gilmore was a shopkeeper by trade, owning a corner shop on Belfast's Cromwell Road in the University area.
