Jorge Meléndez Ramírez (15 April 1871 – 22 November 1953) was a Salvadoran politician who served as president of El Salvador from 1919 to 1923.[1][2] He was born to Rafael Meléndez and Mercedes Ramírez (daughter of Norberto Ramírez).[3] Married to Tula Mazzini, he had three children: Jorge (who died in his youth), María de los Angeles, and Ricardo.[3] He was the younger brother of President Carlos Meléndez.[4]
