Kathumar is a town and tehsil of Alwar district[1] in the Indian state of Rajasthan.

Kankroli
Kankroli is a village in the tehsil Kathumar, about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) away. Village have an ancient temple next to its secondary school. Bhavadas baba temple is famous in the area.
Bhojpura
Bhojpura, about 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) away. Bhojpura has a school that continues to class VIII.
Tusari
Another village included in the tehsil Kathumar is Tusari, about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) away. Tusari also has a Govt school that runs up to class X. The village also has a girl's hostel and high school - Kasturba Gandhi Girls' hostel in the outskirts of the village.

The main occupation is farming. The Hindustan Petroleum gas agency has been started here, namely Desraj Gas Agency situated at Reta road in Kathumar.
There is another village Badka in the tehsil. In this village, 160 families reside. In this village every family has on an average two soldiers in Army. There is another village named Pitampura situated west of Kherli Railway station. Economically most of the people here depend on daily petty works at Kherli.

Direct buses are available to Dehli, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Mathura, Agra and Alwar. The nearest airport is Jaipur. One railway station is also present in the nearby town of Kherli. Kathumar's distance from Kherli Railway station is about 10 km. It is also connected to Nagar.
