Katrín Lea Elenudóttir (born 1998/1999) is an Icelandic model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe Iceland 2018. She will represent Iceland at Miss Universe 2018 pageant in Bangkok, Thailand.
Early life
Katrín was born in Omsk, Russia to a Russian mother Elena Skorobogatova. As a child, she emigrated from Russia to Iceland, settling in Reykjavík.[1][2][3][4] After arriving in Iceland, Katrín learned to speak Icelandic, and is additionally fluent in English and Russian.[5] She is a student at Menntaskólinn í Reykjavík, the most prestigious high school in Iceland.[6]
Pageantry
Miss Universe Iceland 2018
Katrín began her pageantry career at Miss Universe Iceland 2018, competing as Miss Midnight Sun. She went on to win the competition, held in Reykjanesbær, being crowned by outgoing titleholder Arna Ýr Jónsdóttir.[7][8] As Miss Universe Iceland 2018, Katrín will represent Iceland at Miss Universe 2018 in Bangkok.[9][10]
