Lauren Taylor (born June 16, 1998[1]) is an American actress and singer from San Diego, California. She plays one of the lead characters, Shelby, on the Disney Channel show Best Friends Whenever.[2][3] Taylor previously starred as Harper in the Netflix series Richie Rich.[4][5]

At the age of fourteen she opened for Wilson Phillips; she has also opened for Michael Bolton, Vanessa Williams, and Debbie Gibson.[6] She is a regular at the House of Blues San Diego and House of Blues Sunset,[citation needed] and was one of the opening acts at the San Diego County Fair in Del Mar in 2015.[7][8]

Taylor has two twin brothers. She lives with her mother and brothers in Southern California.[9]
