Limacus is a subgenus of air-breathing land slugs, terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusks in the family Limacidae, the keelback slugs.

Limacus is considered as a subgenus of the genus Limax.[2]

Species

Species within this subgenus include:

  • Limax flavus - synonym Limacus flavus (Linnaeus, 1758) synonym: Limax breckworthianus (Lehmann, 1864) - the type species[2]
  • Limax ecarinatus - synonym: Limacus maculatus. If the subgenus Limacus is elevated to the generic level, then the name Limacus maculatus is valid.
