Zootopia is a 2016 American 3D computer-animated comedy-adventure film[1] produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The film is directed by Byron Howard and Rich Moore, with Jared Bush as co-director. Starring the voices of Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman, the film focuses on the unlikely partnership between a rabbit police officer and a red fox con artist as they uncover a conspiracy which involves the disappearance of predator inhabitants of a mammalian metropolis.[2] The film premiered at the Brussels Animation Film Festival in Belgium on February 13, 2016,[3] and went into general theatrical release in conventional 2D, Disney Digital 3-D, RealD 3D and IMAX 3D formats in the United States on March 4.[4][5] The film was released to positive reviews; it holds a Rotten Tomatoes approval rating of 98%, based on 241 reviews, with an average rating of 8.1/10[6] and a Metacritic score of 78 out of 100, based on 43 reviews.[7] The American Film Institute selected it as one of its ten Movies of the Year.[8]
