A listing of the lieutenant governors of the State of Delaware . The Office of Lieutenant Governor was created by the Delaware Constitution of 1897 , and the first election took place in 1900.

The most recent death of a former lieutenant governor of Delaware was that of David P. Buckson (served 1957-1960, born 1920), who died on February 23, 2013. The most recently serving lieutenant governor to die was James D. McGinnis (served 1977-1981, born 1932) on February 24, 2009.
