Mamuša or Mamusha (Albanian: Mamushë or Mamusha; Turkish: Mamuşa; Serbian Cyrillic: Мамуша) is a town in Kosovo.[a] In 2008 it became a municipality. Prior to that it was part of Prizren municipality. Of all municipal units in Kosovo, this one is by far the smallest in terms of area, with only 11 km2 (4 sq mi). According to the 2011 Census the total population is 5,507.[1]

Location

The town is located on the northern part of Prizren. It also borders Đakovica and Suva Reka.

Population

The town is a primarily ethnic Turkish. It is the only settlement in Kosovo where Turks are a majority.
