Montenegrin folklore shares many characteristics with Albanian folklore and Serbian folklore, which it has cultural and historical ties with.

Dances

In Montenegrin folklore, many dances are performed. Some include the ever-popular Šota, the Halaturko, which is popular at weddings, and the Montenegrin Oro.
