Neha Khan[1] is an upcoming versatile Indian model and actress. She has worked in Marathi, Malayalam and Bollywood films. Her last release was Gurukul (film),[2][3] a marathi movie revolving around college-life in India.

Early life

Neha was born in Amravati, Maharashtra in a Muslim family. From a very young age Neha showed an inclination towards acting and dancing. In 8th grade she started participating in modelling competitions and went on to win 'Princess of Maharashtra' at the age of 15. This gave her confidence to pursue a full-time career in modelling and acting.

Career

Neha moved to Mumbai in 2014 after she received a role in the multilingual movie Bad Girl,[4][5] starring Sherlyn Chopra and directed by Shajiyem.[6] She played a model named 'Deepika' in the movie. After shifting base, she joined Anupam Kher's acting school. In June 2014, she bagged one of the lead roles in the movie Uvaa.[7][8][9] She played veteran actor Sanjay Mishra's daughter Mala in the movie and acted alongside Jimmy Shergill Sangram Singh Om Puri and Archana Puran Singh. In October 2014, she bagged the role of Kamini in Marathi movie Gurukul(film). Gurukul (film) was released in August 2015 and received a positive response from the audiences all across Maharashtra. Neha will also be seen in Ghayal Once Again,[10] directed by Sunny Deol.

Personal life

Neha idolizes Madhuri Dixit and is a self-proclaimed fan-girl of the actress. She is close to her parents and travels frequently to her native town Amravati. She is single and currently focusing on establishing her career. She is good friends with Mika Singh who also promoted Uvaa on her request.[11]
