Mariano Perez Flormata Jr. (born July 26, 1985), better known as Neil Perez, is a Filipino actor, police officer and pageant winner who was crowned Mister International 2014 at Ansan, Seoul, South Korea.[2][3] He is the first Filipino to get title of Mister International in the history of the pageant.

Personal life

Perez studied BS Criminology at Manuel L. Quezon University, Manila, Philippines. He is Police Officer 2 Mariano Perez Flormata Jr, a bomb and explosives technician from the Philippine National Police’s Aviation Security Group.[4]

Pageantry

Misters of the Philippines 2014

Perez won the title of the Misters of the Philippines 2014 pageant last September 7, 2014. He bested 25 candidates. Additionally, he was also awarded the Mister Photogenic, Best in Swimwear, Mister Unisilver, Mister Informatics, Mister Multidestination, and Crossfit Challenge Winner by Crossfit Halcyon' at the pageant.[5] Perez represented the Philippines in the Mister International 2014 held at Hotel Inter-Burgo Ballroom, Ansan, Seoul, South Korea on February 14, 2015 and won the coveted title.[6]

Mister International 2014

Perez was crowned Mister International 2014 at Hotel Inter-Burgo Ballroom, Ansan, Seoul, South Korea on February 14, 2015. He also won the 2nd Runner Up in the Best National Costume category.[1][6] His Victory, to honor the 44 Special Action Force who killed in Mamasapano encounter on January 25, 2015.

During his reign Neil traveled to Czech Republic and South Korea.

TV appearance

On September 27, 2014, Perez portrayed himself on the GMA 7's drama anthology Magpakailanman entitled “Poging Policeman: the Mariano Flormata Jr. Story”. (Kristofer Martin portrayed as late teen young adult Perez).[7] In 2015, he plays teacher for TV5's Wattpad mini drama, opposite Isabella de Leon. He was also included in the Third Batch of Lucky Stars for Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal where he held briefcase number 18. He got a chance to play last April 15, 2015 where he took the banker's offer of P105,000. He appeared recently on Eat Bulaga #AldubMostAwaitedDate Episode and on the September 20, 2015 episode of Sunday PINASaya's Kantaserye presents "Sari-Sari Luv" as Col. Tim to promote Princess in the Palace which is set to debut on September 21, 2015.
