Nick Oshiro

Nick Oshiro (born March 3, 1975) is an American musician, best known as the current drummer of the industrial metal band Static-X. He has previously played with the South African hard rock band Seether. He started out with a drumkit made by his father as he stated in an interview with Tama. It was made of old pots and pans, of which his father made a whole kit from. Already at the age of ten, he wanted to be a rockstar after seeing a Whitesnake video. Leaving Seether in 2003, he joined Static-X as a Tour Only Drummer but eventually became a full-time member. While on tour on April 11th 2007 in Dallas, he broke his hand and was replaced for a short time. Nick Oshiro uses a Tama drumkit (it's a Starclassic Maple (Blue Galaxy Fade)), and uses Sabian cymbals. Some of his influences are Abe Cunningham, Morgan Rose and Tim Alexander. He also runs the Static-X Myspace. Oshiro enjoys fishing and is also a self-proclaimed user of Marijuana (as stated in the Seether CD booklet).

^†Josh Freese played the actual drums on this album, however, as Nick was not in the band during the recording. He is shown to be in the band and credited as the band's drummer in the album booklet. However, Josh Freese still gets mentioned as performing the drumming of the album.
^††Nick played drums on the track "Hang On" and was credited as drummer for the original release of "Disclaimer".
^†††Although part of the band at the time of the release, Nick actually didn't play on any of the tracks.
