Ooh Boy (sometimes known as "Ooh Boy (I Love You So)") is a song written by Norman Whitfield and originally recorded by Rose Royce for their second album, Rose Royce II: In Full Bloom, and was the third single released from that album. It has been covered and sampled by numerous artists.[1]

In 1995, the German Eurodance project Real McCoy released a double A-sided single of "Sleeping with an Angel/Ooh Boy." It was the fifth and final single release from the Another Night album. The single peaked at number #19 on the U.S Dance Chart.

  • "Sleeping with an Angel" was written by Billy Steinberg and produced by Billy Steinberg and Rick Nowels.
  • "Ooh Boy" was written by Norman Whitfield and produced by Douglas Carr, Per Adebratt, Tommy Ekman.

Critical reception

The Gavin Report wrote about the song: "The Class of '96 were babies when Rose Royce charted with this song in 1978. The Real McCoy works their magic and makes it fresh again. Uptempo and definitely radio friendly."[6]
