Pakistan Hindu council is the representative body of all Hindus of Pakistan.

History

Hinduism has existed in Pakistan since its inception, origin of which include the elements of Indus Valley Civilization (4700 BC). The Pakistan Hindu Council was registered in 2005.[1]

Mission and Organization

The PHP represents the Hindu community on social and political issues, bringing them together to protect their interests, advance education and opportunity and protect the basic rights and freedoms, especially of worship and assembly, of Hindus all over Pakistan.[1]

Council also organized mass marriages.

Governing body

The governing body has 15 seats, contested by the Hindus all over the Pakistan.[2]

Minority Rights

The council champions the Hindu's minority rights and it has been in the news for raising these issues including against the forced conversions discrimination, intimidation, kidnapping of Hindu girls for the forced marriages and conversion, etc.[3][4]
