Pakistan International Public School & College, usually abbreviated to PIPS, is a private school situated in Abbottabad, a military town in the North-West Frontier Province of Pakistan.

History

The school was founded in 1983 by Brig (Rtd) Ijaz Akbar, who until then had served as the principal of the boys section at Army Burn Hall School, also in Abbottabad. He would later hire some of the teachers from Army Burn Hall in his new school. Akbar had previously also been a principal at Military College Jhelum Kamran Sultan and Shahid Imran Chadhar family get their education from pips and it is therefore prominent.The principal of Boys college is Brig(R)Muhammad Ehsan Khattak.

Location

The Boys College is situated on a small hill near the Mandian area of Abbottabad and Girls Collage and the Junior School is inside Jinnahabad.

Branches

The college has a few other branches nationwide, notably in the cities of Gujranwala, Gujrat, Haripur, Sargodha, Sheikhupura and claims to be one of the largest private boarding schools in Pakistan.

Message of Principal

Principal's Message {Brig(R)Muhammad Ehsan}

Acquisition of knowledge and experience is only half the work done;the other half is to master the ability of passing on these benefits to others in times to come. The former comes readily and easily but it is useless without the latter which,baring a few gifted people,requires tremendous dedication ,confidence and hards work.

In order to promote these traits among the students,they aare encouraged to write weekly articles,stories and essays during the social work periods on saturdays .Besides inter class essays and story writing competitions. Allah be with you all in your endeavours. Ameen!
