Article resubmission into mainspace
[edit]Hi @Boing! said Zebedee: I've improved the article and added content and sources as needed and I think its ready to be back into mainspace. Now if you could have a look into it. Thanks and regards! USaamo (t@lk) 12:53, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hi. I won't have time for a few days, but I'll be happy to take a look. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 17:05, 19 May 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks, btw moments ago I mentioned below User:Bearian as well to take a look! USaamo (t@lk) 17:16, 19 May 2020 (UTC)
Hello @Bearian: I was referred to you by User:Boing! said Zebedee from Administrators noticeboard discussion about this article that if he'd be not available to look into this you maybe asked for it, so requesting you to have a look into it. Thanks! USaamo (t@lk) 17:03, 19 May 2020 (UTC)
- I did state that I'd be willing to look at it again based on my weak delete vote. However, I still don't see a single reliable source about either its faculty or alumni. For examples, I am looking for a legitimate newspaper article about a graduate who won a major sports competition ether nationally or at the Olympics, or an alumni who won a major performing arts medal or Nobel prize, or a "best teacher in Pakistan" accolade. The new sources don't help it ride to the WP:HEY standard. Please try harder. Bearian (talk) 18:44, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Bearian: Yes that happened many times and it came in news but I don't think that was necessary to be mentioned in Encyclopedic article.
Here are some of the articles from Pakistan's national English dailies giving mention about it either by PIPS Abbottabad or Pakistan International Public School and College;
2002 2003 2004 2011 2013 2013(ii) 2014 2014(ii) 2015 2016 2018 USaamo (t@lk) 10:11, 22 May 2020 (UTC)
Moreover if we see articles about other similar colleges in Abbottabad like Army Burn Hall College or Abbottabad Public School, they also have similar referencing mostly from own websites. While I have cited a couple of educational sites as well in this article. And also the above links where the college got mention in news. So I think it merits going into mainspace. USaamo (t@lk) 10:18, 22 May 2020 (UTC)
- @USaamo: I was intending to look for some sources over the coming weekend (as it really does sound like the kind of educational establishment that should be notable - an apparently prestigious school with military origins). I'll do that, and I'll have a look over these sources you've found too. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 10:15, 22 May 2020 (UTC)
- Looking forward to it, thanks and regards! USaamo (t@lk) 10:22, 22 May 2020 (UTC)
- I've expanded the article and added various citations from national dailies about the college's academics and activities. USaamo (t@lk) 14:35, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
- Hello @Bearian: I hope you would like to take a look at the article again. Do let me know for any further shortcomings. I tend to improve article further with time and availability of information. Thanks USaamo (t@lk) 14:50, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
- I'm not familiar with dawn.com nor that local paper. Bearian (talk) 22:58, 13 August 2020 (UTC)
- @Bearian: Dawn (newspaper) is the Pakistan's newspaper of the record and most revered newspaper in South Asia. The other two cited The News International and The Express Tribune are also the leading national dailies in the country. USaamo (t@lk) 09:29, 15 August 2020 (UTC)

- Hi @Bearian: , @Boing! said Zebedee: hope you would be fine. I wanted to bring your attention again towards this draft. I previously also pinged you after last time I expanded the article but it may went unnoticed. I added the school's coverage from reliable sources and I believe that satisfies notability standards of here. So if you could now please look into this again and review the article for moving it back into mainspace. I'll be waiting for your response. Thanks and regards! - Thank you for your patience. I have been a guest teacher and elections official in real life, and obviously have been busy. I think the sourcing is better, and having looked at Dawn I agree that it is a reliable source. I think this is good enough and ready to return to "main space". I recommend you contact an administrator to move it. Bearian (talk) 19:36, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Bearian: thanks for your response. I visited your userpage back then and you did mention in a note on talkpage that you might be busy and talking wikibreak, so I had an idea about this, that's why I didn't bother you again during this time period. Now the admin @Boing! said Zebedee: too have a similar note on his talk so let me ask some other admin to do this.
May you have a great year after stressfull 2020! Regards, USaamo (t@lk) 09:59, 22 December 2020 (UTC)

- Hi @EdJohnston: hope you would be fine. If you could review this discussion and move the article back to mainspace. This article was deleted and afterwards admin User:Boing! said Zebedee pulled it back to draftspace upon my request at AN and I improved the article with time but we all have been busy over the time so it couldn't get attention. User:Bearian on whose weak delete vote it was deleted have also reconsidered it after reviewing the improvement in the article and given it a go but now the admin previously involved with this seems not much active here to perform the action. So I request you to move this article back to the mainspace. Thanks and regards! USaamo (t@lk) 10:34, 22 December 2020 (UTC)
- Since I perceive that the issues raised in the AfD have been dealt with I went ahead (at USaamo's request) and moved the draft back to mainspace. EdJohnston (talk) 04:57, 24 December 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for performing the move. It was a long wait getting it back to the mainspace. Though I could have easily started a new article as this article was almost rewritten by me but thought better retrieving the old one with all its history since this was written long ago in 2005 by Minister of Darkness, probably a student of the same college. He definitely deserve the credit for starting this article back then at times when I even didn't know about the internet or encyclopedias since I was just a kid. Though he doesn't have much contributions but these too are worth accreditation being at times when these things were not much common in the country. Thanks and regards! :) USaamo (t@lk) 10:34, 5 January 2021 (UTC)
