Phir Se (English: Once Again) is an Indian romance film released on 26 June 2015[1] directed by Kunal Kohli and Ajay Bhuyan. The film stars Kunal Kohli and Jennifer Winget and deals with a husband-wife relationship. Rajit Kapoor, Dalip Tahil, Kanwaljeet Singh and Sushmita Mukherjee portray supporting roles. This is the first film of the director Kunal Kohli as an actor and also the debut film of Jennifer Winget in Bollywood.[2] The tagline of the film is "I'm not 40—I'm 18 with 22 years experience."[3] The trailer of the film was released on 7 April 2015.

Plot

The film Phir Se is based on a separated couple living in London, trying to come to terms with the consequences of their split.

Casting

The main cast of Kunal Kohli and Jennifer Winget was finalized in mid 2014. The movie was directed by Kunal Kohli, who also made his acting debut in this film. Prior to Phir Se, he had directed films like Fanaa, Hum Tum, Mujhse Dosti Karoge! and Teri Meri Kahaani.

Phir Se was Winget's first lead role in a Bollywood film. Previously, she had worked in Saraswatichandra, a daily soap produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Kunal Kohli tweeted the theatrical poster of his film on 13 October 2014. It was first time any information about the film was revealed.[5] The first look of the film was also revealed then.

Soundtrack

The Soundtrack of the album is composed by Jeet Gannguli, Lyrics are penned by Rashmi Singh. Singers include Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, Palak Muchhal, Mohammed Irfan, Mohit Chauhan and Nikhil D'Souza.[6] The first song of the film is "Rozana". This song was gifted to Kunal Kohli by T-Series manager Bhushan Kumar according to media news.[7]

Marketing

The trailer was released through the movie's official Facebook and Twitter accounts and the T-Series YouTube channel on 7 April 2015. The 155-second clip featured glimpses of director Kunal Kohli making his acting debut in Bollywood with the daily soap actress Jennifer Winget. Personalities like Karan Johar, Rishi Kapoor, Gautam Singhania, Farhan Akhtar, Priyanka Chopra, and Uday Chopra among many others tweeted about the movie and its trailer release on Twitter.
