Lupa Piacenza S.S.D. is an Italian association football club based in Piacenza. The club currently plays in Eccellenza Emilia–Romagna/A.

It is not the legitimate heir of Piacenza Calcio Football Club not having yet acquired its sports title according to the Article 52 NOIF of FIGC,[1] but it has only obtained the use of its brand for four years, after the club went bankrupt in 2012. In fact the club can not be before the summer 2013 eventually renamed Piacenza F.C. 1919.[2]

The origins of football in Piacenza go back to 1919 when was founded Piacenza Foot-Ball Club, changing successively its name to Piacenza Calcio F.C. and playing also in Serie A.

In the summer 2012, the club was declared bankrupt and the team was disbanded.

From Libertaspes to Lupa Piacenza

Following the bankruptcy of Piacenza Calcio Football Club, regional amateur club Libertaspes, founded in 2010, recently promoted in the season 2011-12 to Eccellenza Emilia–Romagna after winning Promozione Emilia–Romagna/A, was renamed Lupa Piacenza[3] after the obtaining the brand, but not its sports title of the failed Piacenza[4] by the association Salva Piace,[5] in order to continue its soccer history.
