Porabari Union (Bengali:পোড়াবাড়ী ইউনিয়ন) is a union of Tangail Sadar Upazila, Tangail District, Bangladesh. It is situated 7 km southwest of Tangail city.
Demographics
According to Population Census 2011 performed by Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics, The total population of Porabari union is 21,622.There are 4,897 households in total.
Education
The literacy rate of Porabari Union is 39.9% (Male-43.4%, Female-36.5%).
Traditions
Porabari has been famous for Chomchom since 150 years ago. But very few sweet shops can be seen in Porabari Bazar nowadays. All shops has been transferred to Tangail city.
