Proposed deletion of Tangail Railway Station
[edit]The article Tangail Railway Station has been proposed for deletion. The proposed deletion notice added to the article should explain why.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. CAPTAIN RAJU (✉) 13:33, 6 January 2016 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Tangail Sari
[edit]Hello Fahimlinkon,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Tangail Sari for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. NeedAGoodUsername (talk) 01:51, 10 January 2016 (UTC)
Your contributed article, Tangail Sari
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Tangail Sari. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Tangail District. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Tangail District – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.
If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Drchriswilliams (talk) 16:05, 10 January 2016 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Tangail Misti Potri
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Tangail Misti Potri requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Creating inappropriate pages
[edit]Thanks for contributing article Joydevpur-Bangabandhu shetu east Line. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable, by being clearly attributed to reliable sources, preferably using inline citations. Please help by adding sources to the article you edited (see here for how to do inline referencing). Also clarify how the article does not duplicate material already in the scope of Iswardi–Sirajganj line and Narayanganj–Bahadurabad Ghat line. It would be better to improve those articles and Tangail, if they are missing information, instead of creating new articles that do not meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines. Thanks! P.S. If you need any help, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia or ask at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, or just ask me. Worldbruce (talk) 02:09, 11 January 2016 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Tangail Airport
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Tangail Airport requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://offroadbangladesh.com/places/tangail-airport/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Disambiguation link notification for January 18
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Nagarpur Upazila, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Union Council. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Atia Mosque, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://bdtrek.blogspot.com/2014/01/atia-mosque-tangaildhaka-bangladesh.html.
It is possible that the bot was mistaken and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Familiarize yourself with Bangladesh naming conventions
[edit]Hi Fahimlinkon, If you plan to continue creating stubs for populated places in Bangladesh (and as an alternative, might I suggest improving the thousands that already exist, most of which are very poor articles), please familiarize yourself with Wikipedia:Naming conventions (Places in Bangladesh). It will save other editors from having to rename many stubs to conform with the guidelines. Thanks, Worldbruce (talk) 00:12, 23 January 2016 (UTC)
Mis-citing Banglapedia
[edit]Hi Fahimlinkon, please note that the Banglapedia article which is cited at Tangail District does not use the 2011 census data, it says "Source Bangladesh Population Census 2001, Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics." If you have a citation for the 2011 census results, then please add the citation, but do not (repeatedly) edit to claim Banglapedia says something that it does not. [edit]Hello, I'm Sminthopsis84. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Tangail District, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Repeated mis-use of existing citations by changing numbers. Sminthopsis84 (talk) 13:31, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
Do not claim a source says something that it doesn't
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from List of cities and towns in Bangladesh. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Worldbruce (talk) 16:40, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
- A proper citation for distinguishing cities from towns by whether their population is above or below 100,000 would be:
<ref>{{cite web |url=http://www.bbs.gov.bd/WebTestApplication/userfiles/Image/National%20Reports/PopulationHousingCensus2011.pdf |title=Population Census 2011: National Volume-3: Urban Area Report |author=<!--Staff writer(s); no by-line.--> |website=Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics |format=PDF |page=8 |access-date=31 January 2016}}</ref>
- It's a large document, and out of date with respect to city corporations (subsequent to the 2011 census Comilla, Narayanganj, Rangpur, and Gazipur have become city corporations, and Dhaka was split into Dhaka North and Dhaka South) but it contains other information, especially in the table on page xi and in chapter 4, that would be useful as you update urban area articles. [edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did at Tangail District, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Changing numbers to something other than what the cited source states. Hi there! Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
I noticed your recent edit to Tangail does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
- User contributions
- Recent changes
- Watchlists
- Revision differences
- IRC channels
- Related changes
- New pages list and
- Article editing history
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks! Bongan® →TalkToMe← 15:38, 7 February 2016 (UTC)
Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Tangail District. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Stop deleting citations. The information may be a bit old, but if there is no published source available that gives more recent information, you are harming wikipedia by putting in unsourced statements, removing the citation that is present. Sminthopsis84 (talk) 01:20, 21 February 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Please see MOS:IMGSIZE for image sizes. Generally, they should be about 220 pixels. These need to work on mobile phones, so over sizing them will cause problems. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 11:06, 23 February 2016 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Cyfal (talk). I inspected your last contributions and assume that you didn't like the title of the article Fatehpur Union. Simply creating a new article Fatehpur Union(Hathazari) and copying the code into it is plain wrong. Please read WP:MOVE carefully for the correct procedure. Also, "Fatehpur Union(Hathazari)" is wrong because a space is missing, it should be "Fatehpur Union (Hathazari)". It is the same problem as with "Mohera Union"/"Mahera Union". I will put a speedy deletion tag on Fatehpur Union(Hathazari) now. --Cyfal (talk) 15:58, 9 March 2016 (UTC)

Sockpuppet investigation
[edit]Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Fahimlinkon23, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Unions of Baghaichari Upazila
[edit]A tag has been placed on Category:Unions of Baghaichari Upazila requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Updating caps and stats
[edit]Hello, I'm Robby.is.on. Welcome to Wikipedia! I just wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions were not quite right. When updating statistics within the infobox of a footballer, please make sure you update the timestamp at the same time, so that both readers and fellow editors know when the information was last updated.
You can do this by replacing the existing timestamp within the |club-update=
or |pcupdate=
parameter for club stats, or the |nationalteam-update=
or |ntupdate=
parameter for international stats. For articles that use a DMY date format, use five tildes (~~~~~), or for MDY dates, use {{subst:mdytime}}. This will generate the specific time the update was made.
If you have any questions about this, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you, Robby.is.on (talk) 11:53, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
