I can't see how their appearance as tracks on "Extended Play" as opposed to their appearance as separate singles were the problematic element in the album's reception. It is a very common practice to release singles before an album, though I concede the singles might have seemed a bit old hat by the time the album came out. Subjective. undo

  • curprev 00:0900:09, 16 March 2021Davidnicholsknowsbest talk contribs 16,560 bytes +411 →‎History: "I Go To Sleep" is not a Kinks cover; it was written by Ray Davies but not recorded by the group. To say that Hynde was in a 'personal relationship' with Ray Davies is inadequate - they were an 'item', which is the reason I included information about their daughter - a 'personal relationship' could cover a range of situations. Added suggestion that "Talk of the Town" is about Davies, from print source. undo
