Roshni Dinaker (pronounced: rɔːʃnɪ ðɪnɛkɛr) is an Indian award winning Costume Designer and Film Director known for her debut in Malayalam films by casting Mollywood super star Prithviraj Sukumaran [1] and prominent actress Parvathy (actress).[2] Her directorial debut movie 'My Story' is the first film pairing Parvathy and Prithviraj after the blockbuster Malayalam movie Ennu Ninte Moideen.

Early life

Roshni Dinaker was born in Madikeri in 1978 as the only daughter of Mathew Ramapuram and Asha Tony Ramapuram. She has been working in the film industry as a Costume Designer since 2002.[3] Her debutant movie (as a director) 'My Story' is produced by herself, under the banner Roshni Dinaker Productions.

Career

Roshny Dinaker entered film industry as a Costume Designer in South Indian films. She has won Karnataka State award as Best Costume Designer in 2006-07 for her work in the movie Kallarali Hoovagi (directed by T. S. Nagabharana) and worked for more than 30 films as costume designer.[4] Her debut as a costume designer was in the Kannada movie Shubham. But, she started to get more media attention after declaring her directorial debut with the Malayalam movie named ‘My Story’ starring prominent artists Prithviraj Sukumaran and Parvathy (actress). The movie will be started to shoot by first week of October in Norway and Switzerland.[5] Roshny Dinaker has selected the best team for her movie ‘My Story’. The team includes music composer from Malayalam film industry Shaan Rahman,[6] Bollywood Sound Engineer Bishwadeep Chatterjee who won IIFA Award for Best Sound Recording in 2010 and renowned choreographer Bosco–Caesar.[7]
