SA TV (South Asian Television) is a privately owned 'infotainment' television channel in Bangladesh.[1] It is the first ever station in Bangladesh using both HD and 3G Technology. The channel is owned by SA Group, one of the largest transportation and real estate groups of the country. SATV is the first channel to bring 'Idol' franchise in Bangladesh through Bangladeshi Idol.[2] SATV's head office is located in Gulshan 1, Dhaka.[3]

The channel began its full commercial run on January 19, 2013. Veteran film-maker Syed Salahuddin Zaki is the Chief Operating Officer of the channel and Scott Robert Craig is the Head of News.[4][5]

"SATV" began its test transmission from 25th December 2012, which was followed by a comprehensive 24-hours commercial launch on 19th January 2013.

SATV complements its network coverage through cable operators to different countries including United States, Canada, UK and Middle-East.
