Salem West (State Assembly Constituency)

Salem West is a newly formed state assembly constituency in Indian state of Tamil Nadu after the constituency delimitations 2008.[1] It consists of portions of the Omalur and Salem taluks. It falls under Salem (Lok Sabha constituency).[2]


Salem West consists of the following parts in its limits:[2]

  • Omalur Taluk (Part) - Muthunaickenpatti, Chellapillaikuttai, Pagalpatti, Manguppai, Saminayakkanpatti, Kottagoundampatti, Anaigoundampatti, Vellakkalpatti, T.Konagapadi, Alagusamudram and Karukkalvadi villages.
  • Salem taluk (Part)
  1. Sarkar Gollappatti, A.Ayyamperumalpatti, Chettichavadi, Kondappanayakkanpatti, M.Palapatti and Selathampatti villages.
  2. Thalavaipatti (CT) and Mallamooppampatti (CT).
  3. Salem Municipal Corporation Wards - No.1 to 5 and No.17 to 25
