Shikkari Shambhu is a 2018 Indian Malayalam-language comedy drama thriller film directed by Sugeeth and written by Nishad Koya. The film features Kunchacko Boban, Sshivada, Vishnu Unnikrishnan, Hareesh Kanaran and Alphy Panjikaran in lead roles.[1] Produced and distributed by S. K. Lawrence through Angel Maria Cinemas.[2] The film was released in India on 27 January 2018, and received positive response from audience.The film was a Super Hit at the box office.

Synopsis

The film narrates the story of three thieves who use Varunni's name to get employed as tiger hunters in a village and accidentally captures the tiger. They further demystify the deaths that have been disguised as tiger killings and in the end captures the real killer.

The film was released on 20 January 2018 over 100 theaters in Kerala.

Critical response

Sify.com reviewed the film to be "one time watch".[4]. While the film received mixed responses, the comic sequences in the film was widely appreciated, Times of India stated that "Witty exchanges between Vishnu and Harish keep you entertained in the first half" [5] while giving the film a rating of 2.5 out 5 and Manorama Online, in its review, wrote "The standalone element that enthralls the audience from the movie is the relief of comedy which pans out all through till the interval break".[6]

Box office

The film ran for more than 90 days in theatres and grossed a total of ₹15 crore from the box office.
